OSTREME COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

A BRIEF HISTORY
1973 – 1978 fund raising events were held to raise money for a community centre in Mumbles.  The ‘Ostreme Festival’ became a major attraction in the village, with 9 days of activities including a pageant, Art & begun and began difference Craft exhibitions and out door productions staged in the grounds of Oystermouth Castle. As a result Ostreme Community Association was formed.

1978 Ostreme Community Association obtained a 35 year lease from All Saints Church Oystermouth to refurbish their derelict church hall and run it as a community centre. This lease will expire in 2013; we are in the process of negotiating terms for a new lease.
